Cranbrook Cycle Club
Based in Cranbrook, East Devon, we aspire to be Devon's friendliest cycling club!
Social Rides
Every Saturday morning throughout the warmer months, we host a social ride, which is suitable for all bikes and abilities. This is a great opportunity to get out on your bike, meet people and eat cake.
If you feel you might like to come along but aren't sure about riding in traffic, please get in touch and we would be more than happy to provide guidance to help you build up to it.
We try to run these as frequently as possible but can be subject to change or cancellation if the weather looks dangerous, so keep an eye on Facebook for any announcements.
If you are interested, you can use the below links to find a ride, or find out more.

Sunday Rides
As well as the Social rides, we also host a weekly Sunday club ride. These can vary in distance and speed, but are non-drop rides and are open to everyone.
These rides usually feature a stop in a café for some cake (are you noticing a theme?).
The route, cake venue and target speed are published on Strava during the week ahead of the ride, so if you see a ride you fancy, sign up on Strava or drop us a message to let us know you're coming!
Thursday evening rides
Our busiest rides of the week are our mid-week evening rides.
These start at 18:45 in Cranbrook and are normally somewhere between 1½ - 2 hours. They are sociable non-drop rides, with regular regrouping at the top of hills or the end of popular segments if people get too enthusiastic.
As with our Sunday rides, these run all year round, so make sure you have a decent set of working lights when the days start getting shorter and mudguards when they get wetter.
Let us know if you're coming along using the buttons below.

Racing
In addition to the social side of cycling, many of our members also compete in various cycling disciplines.
We have some very strong Time Trialists in the club and despite our size are able to compete against much larger teams, with our roster including the current Men's and Women's Devon Cup holders.
2 of our members went to the multisport world championships in 2023, representing Great Britain in XC Duathlon, and we have multiple Ironman competitors amongst our ranks.
Other members race Cyclocross each Autumn/Winter, and sometimes even stay upright.
We have a guy who does crits, but we don't talk about him.
